Teacher Edvaldo Aparecido Amaral da Silva
Edvaldo Aparecido Amaral da Silva holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Lavras (1994), a master's degree in phytotechnics from the federal university of Lavra (1997), a doctorate in plant science from the Wageningen University (2002) and a post-doctorate from Lavras Federal University (2010).
He is Associate Professor at UNESP-FCA-Botucatu and is the Deputy Executive Coordinator of the Bioenergy Research Institute - IPBEN-UNESP. He was head of the Department of Plant Production and Improvement from November 2012 to December 2016. He was the coordinator of the postgraduate programme in Agronomy/Agriculture from March 2017 until May 2021.
He has experience in the field of seeds from large crops and seeds of forest species with emphasis on biology and physiology. It has projects in collaboration with universities in the Netherlands, France and the United States.
He is accredited in the postgraduate programmes in Agronomy/Agriculture, in Forestry Science of the FCA-UNESP-campus of Botucatu, and the Integrated Doctoral Programme in Bioenergy of the Paulist State Universities (USP/UNICAMP/ UNESP), where he guides students in master's and doctoral level and post-doctoral supervision.
He is also the mentor of undergraduate students of the courses of Agronomy, Forestry Engineering and Bioprocess Engineering and Biotechnology at FCA-UNESP-Botucatu.
